Causes and Symptoms

Tingling and numbness felt in your fingers, hands, feet, arms, or legs can be caused by:

  • Pinched nerves, injury to a nerve or pressure on the spinal nerves
  • Sitting or standing for a long period of time
  • Shingles
  • Lack of blood supply to an area

Initially, Dr. Indriso will perform physical and neurological exams to determine the cause of the pain.

Posture, range of motion and physical condition will be observed in the physical exams. Tests may need to be ordered in order to help diagnose the condition. These may include an x-ray, CAT scan or MRI. Treatment plans will be determined based on individual needs. A personal treatment plan will be created in order to restore the proper functioning of the nerves. Physical therapy, spinal adjustments and nutritional/lifestyle coaching may all be used in order to remedy the problem.
